the faint / ladytron @ warehouse live 4.20.09

IN SUMMARY

The Faint is amazing.  Full of energy.   Should have left after their performance, but I was gung ho on seeing Ladytron, only to be disappointed and irritated at discourteous concert goers, many of them who smelled like armpit.

With all due respect to Ladytron and their lack of enthusiasm during their performance, I would say you'd be better off listening to your favorite tracks on your iPod and standing in front of a Macy's display window.  You may just get the same experience, sans the drunk college kids pushing you and being obnoxious or simply making out to utter nauseousness.   Will pass on the LT next time around.  Perhaps they were just tired or bored?  Seemed like they weren't into it. Unfortunate.  Thank God, I got to see The Faint.

...and what's with the audiences these days?  I guess there's always an a-hole or two to be expected, but you tall folks and you pushers shoving your way to the front to unapologetically block the views  of the people behind you deserve to have your kneecaps popped.

Oh, and what is with the folks at WHL that can't usher a crowd in quick enough to actually see the opening bands?  Pitiful.

Props to keeping the place clean, but confiscating lighters only to walk into the pungent stench of month old marijuana is not a crowd pleaser.  Nope.
